This is everything that I know about traveling and represents the product of days worth of research navigating the web for maximizing value while traveling. Everyone has different priorities for their travel. Some spend on food while saving on hotels. Others lean into experiences. Some people love tours and travel agents that do everything for them. For example I prefer to plan everything myself, not give some random person money for a canned copy-paste plan, and basically every trip is so fun. Some prefer two days in a city before going to the next (me). And others like a week to fully absorb their environment.
Trip Planning
I’ve built some expertise in trip planning.
My process, resources I use, allow the input “hours of time” and output to be “the closest to a near-perfect itinierary or trip planned” that maximizes all aspects of value.
I’ve planned trips for:
Mexico, France, Spain, Japan, Korea, all Southeast Asia, UK, Belgium, Netherlands, Central America, Nordics.
Some I went alone, some with company, and some I planned for others. I / we / they had near-perfect trips. Highlight recently from someone I helped: My trip highlight was how well-planned everything was.
For solo trips, I saw everything, did everything, ate everything, experienced everything, such that I am content never returning back to that country if it never happens. Sure, things went wrong, but preparation paid huge dividends.
I am going to write a guide on Trip Planning on some future date but not a priority right now.
