After moving into my apartment in San Francisco, I’ve experienced the first-world problem where, while my apartment gets natural light all day, it starts too early in the morning.

Instead of window shades, I found this eye mask ($23 on Amazon, $6 on Temu, $1 on AliExpress). Yes, it is marked-up on Amazon.

It is the best sleep mask ever. Not tight on the face. It is so good that:

• The next week I found my friend, coincidentally, also has the same mask and has been using it for a while
• I put two people onto it (edit 3/17: three people now; edit 4/27: four people now).
• I’ve purchased multiple (…mainly because I’ve left behind one or two while traveling but that’s not the point).
