tl;dr
Quit job and now have unlimited time. What to spend it on? I spent the last few months thinking about different projects to work on. They fall into a few categories—some will take a little time, some a lot. Some will make no money, some maybe a little, and some, ideally, will make more than a little. Common thread? All should be fun and enjoyable. Not wasting time on things that I don’t care about or don’t enjoy.
Goal isn’t to love every day and that isn’t the reality but to love every second. And hopefully it should matter. The money part should sort itself out.
Now prioritizing which ones to start first.
Action bias for this year—less overthinking, more doing. Planning has served me well in the past, but now it’s time to do things.
Also, outside of a few products which are very customer-focused, planning to be very selective for both collecting and listening to feedback. Maybe this will help cultivate judgement more.
Projects divided into two categories:
On the creative side, am inspired by others all the time.
On business side, thinking of what is good product market founder fit. Product (something I like); market (there is a problem), founder (I can solve said problem and I care about it), fit.
TBD!
